Passaround comics #11 and #12

I debated for a while about posting these, because they're not from Drink & Draw, they're from the 24 Hour Comic at the beginning of October. But we did these after being up and drawing for about 19 hours, so we were in a drunk-like state.

From last night:



I really enjoy the slow buildup of emotion and drama, and Chris Johnston's glorious ending. I'd also like to point out that this is the least dirty comic jam in a long time, maybe ever, depending on how you feel about nipples.

Twist Endings!

Everyone knows a joke is better when someone explains to you exactly why it's funny. So allow me: this comic jam is hilarious because the last panel contradicts at least three things that were established previously. Almost as if Vince didn't even pay attention to anyone else's work.

Yep. He sure is. This pic was suggested by Chris J. "We're Still Alive Mutha Fuckahs!" is Chad's suggested title for a possible gallery showing of everyone's work. Awesome.


Still one of my fave comics on the stands right now. Issue 12 just hit and it rocks.

And apparently Roger Dean is a good illustrator too.

Vampire Girl VS Frankenstein Girl

Blerg! Been a while due to my absences and shitty drawings. But here's something jawesome. I heard about a new Japanese movie called Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl and I drew this up. When I actually watched the trailer, I realized I was way off but I still prefer my designs better.

Guinness Is My Co-Pilot

'Ello, 'ello! First post on the Official Calgary Drink and Draw. Like the original DDSC masters, I like to draw on brown press paper. It's fun to work with white-out on the brown paper. Also the brown color hides grease and beer stains.
